Engineered hardwood is moisture-tolerant but not moisture-immune. We test the subfloor before installation — concrete slabs get a moisture vapor emissions test, wood subfloors get a pin-type moisture reading. If the numbers are too high, we address the source rather than installing over the problem.
Installation day.
Most engineered hardwood is floated with a click-lock system or glued down. Floating is faster and reversible; gluing is more stable and quieter underfoot. We'll recommend the right method for your subfloor and traffic expectations. Most rooms are done in a single day.
