Local Luxury Vinyl Notes
Why Gwinnett County Homeowners Are Choosing Luxury Vinyl
Gwinnett County covers a broad range of housing ages and types across its unincorporated areas and smaller cities — from 1970s ranches to 2010s townhomes, with virtually every era of construction featuring hardwood floors somewhere. Refinishing and installation are both in steady demand throughout the county.
Loganville and Snellville's suburban family homes — active households with kids, pets, and high traffic — are among the strongest markets for LVP in the county. Below-grade living spaces in Grayson and Dacula's newer construction are almost always LVP rather than hardwood, and matching LVP from the basement to the main floor aesthetic is a conversation we have often in these homes.
Luxury vinyl's appeal in Gwinnett County comes down to practical realities: Georgia humidity, active households, and rooms where hardwood simply isn't the right product. Kitchens, bathrooms, basements, laundry rooms, and mudrooms all benefit from a 100% waterproof floor — and today's LVP looks convincingly like hardwood from any normal viewing distance.
The other driver in Gwinnett County is schedule flexibility. LVP installs at a lower cost than either solid or engineered hardwood, requires no acclimation window, and is immediately walkable after installation. For homeowners renovating on a timeline, that flexibility is a real advantage.
Every estimate in Gwinnett County is done in-home — we walk the floors, test the subfloor, and look at the specific conditions of your home before we quote. That means no surprises on project day and no scope creep. We tell you exactly what needs to be done and what it will cost, in writing, before any work begins.
What a Luxury Vinyl Installation Looks Like
Here's exactly what happens from your first call to the final walkthrough — no guesswork, no vague timelines.
Product selection.
Today's LVP spans a wide range of looks — realistic wood grain patterns, stone looks, wide-plank formats — and a wide range of quality tiers. We carry products with a wear layer thick enough (12+ mil) to handle real traffic. We'll help you choose a product that holds up to your actual household use.
Subfloor preparation.
LVP needs a flat, clean subfloor — typically within ⅛" over 6 feet. We check and level before installation. Unlike hardwood, LVP doesn't need moisture mitigation in most homes; the product itself is the moisture barrier. But the subfloor still needs to be right.
Installation day.
Most LVP products are click-lock and install without adhesive. Cuts are made with a scoring knife or miter saw, transitions and baseboards are set, and most rooms are done in a single day. The floor is immediately walkable — no cure time required.
Upgrading the staircase to match? We install LVP stair treads and combine it with a full staircase renovation in Gwinnett County. If you want hardwood aesthetics with better humidity stability, also ask about engineered hardwood in Gwinnett County.

Why Gwinnett County Homeowners Choose Olivas
We've been working in Gwinnett County — Norcross, Snellville, Lilburn, and the surrounding Gwinnett County neighborhoods — long enough to understand what local homeowners actually care about: showing up when we say we will, doing the work right the first time, and leaving the home cleaner than we found it. That sounds basic — but it's what separates us from the contractors who disappear mid-project or leave dust on every surface.
Typical Gwinnett County projects run 1,000–2,800 sq ft (varied), and every one is handled by our own in-house crew — not a subcontractor we called the day before. That means consistent quality, direct accountability, and a crew that's done this exact type of work hundreds of times. When you call with a question, you're talking to the same people who did the work.

A Loganville family home had below-grade living space in a Grayson-area build that needed flooring for a finished basement — SPC-core LVP over the slab was the only practical call for a below-grade space with the moisture and temperature swings Georgia basements see. The floor has been in place through two full years of basement living without movement or moisture issues.

What Metro Atlanta Homeowners Say
Sonia and crew were so professional and completely focused on making sure our wood floors were preserved, restored and brought back to life. I'd reached out to Sonia to come by and give pricing on removing our water logged basement flooring to put in water resistant flooring. Well as my lucky stars were in a line that day, she thought they could repair them and bring them back to almost original. They superseded those expectations by far. Just excellent. Would hire them again. Thank you Sonia and crew.

This company installed laminate flooring at my mother's home and did an excellent job! The owner came out to give the estimate and explained the installation process. Her workers were professional and cleaned up after the job was completed. The floors look great and as a result, my sister hired her to install her floors throughout her entire home, and make repairs to her steps. I would 100% highly recommend this company.
